PEACE OF MIND FOR ONLY $59

NSW legislation requires STRA hosts to provide an emergency information booklet to assist visitors who may be less familiar with the property and the local area. By identifying hazards, providing relevant information sources and emergency contact details, guests will be equipped with the knowledge of what to do in the unlikely even of an emergency.

Included in your Emergency Information Booklet:

This booklet provides property managers and home owners alike the peace of mind that should an emergency situation arise, you have provided your guests with a thorough and comprehensive guide addressing, in detail, every requirement as identified by the NSW Government.

  • Identifying potential hazards specific to your property such as flood, bushfire, coastal erosion, inundation, heatwaves, earthquakes and other disasters.

  • Provide information on what the relevant emergency services, such as the RFS and SES, advise you do in specific emergency situations.

  • Direct guests to suitable information sources so they can be kept informed during a disaster.

  • Ensure your guests are suitably prepared should they need to evacuate.

When it comes to safety and saving lives, information is key. Upon confirming your order, your Emergency Information Booklet is individually compiled to take into account the specific location of the property and the likely hazards your guests may encounter. After an analysis of the location you will be provided a comprehensive booklet consisting of approximately 40 pages of invaluable information summarising the below:

SAFETY EQUIPMENT:

  • All STRA owners are required to meet minimum fire safety regulations.

  • As part of this legislation you will need to provide certain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and fire blankets for specific building types and you may prefer to provide these regardless as an additional safety measure.

  • Your customised Emergency Information Booklet will identify precisely where the equipment is located within your property for quick easy access in the event of an emergency.

EVACUATION KIT:

  • The SES and RFS recommend to all households to have on the ready an emergency evacuation kit - why not have one for your guests, on hand and ready in the event of a natural disaster.

  • We will provide you with a comprehensive list of equipment that the SES and RFS have advised you provide so you can compile the kit yourself.

  • Alternatively, should you not provide the kit then the comprehensive list will be included in the Emergency Information Booklet meaning your guest will have the opportunity to gather essential items from around the home should they need to evacuate.
